We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Untamed NFT Marketplace on Celo. Untamed helps you to combat biodiversity loss and climate change via planet-positive collectibles. On April 29th, we will unveil the Untamed platform. But that’s not all – we’re also announcing our inaugural collection, “Not Your Grail” to be released on the 6th of May.

On Untamed, you’ll discover digital collectibles that celebrate the beauty of nature while supporting crucial conservation efforts around the globe. Every NFT has a unique, transparent utility that contributes to biodiversity conservation.
Here’s how you can make a difference with Untamed:

    Introducing: Not Your Grail

    Our inaugural NFT campaign, “Not Your Grail,” is a tribute to the Northern White Rhinos, Najin and Fatu. This collection, beautifully crafted by National Geographic-published artist Frvnk, uses powerful photography and innovative storytelling to cast light on these rhinos’ dire circumstances and generate support for their survival.

    Rhinos are often referred to as the “grails” of illegal wildlife trafficking due to their highly prized horns, which are the main targets for poachers. This name directly challenges that notion, emphasizing that these majestic creatures are not objects to be coveted or exploited. In the NFT communities, a “grail” often refers to the rarest and most coveted items in a collection. By calling this campaign “Not Your Grail,” we draw a parallel to the rarity and value of these NFTs, while inviting the community to rethink what truly should be treasured—the lives and well-being of these rhinos.

    At the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, live the last two Northern White Rhinos, Najin and Fatu. Once numbering in the thousands and now reduced to two primarily due to poaching. Each purchase of an NFT symbolically adopts Najin and Fatu, directly contributing to these initiatives and providing essential support as scientists and conservationists fight to save the Northern White Rhino from disappearing forever.

    All proceeds from this campaign will go to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy to directly support the Northern White Rhinos. By acquiring an NFT, you symbolically adopt Najin and Fatu, and you’ll receive a year-long subscription to status updates on their well-being along with other exclusive perks, connecting you personally to the impact of your contribution.
